So What do you Think?

So I'm getting my NutiriSystem box tomorrow.  I don't think I'll be able to start until Tuesday, cuz my UPS guy tends to hit me late.  I really don't want to "Not Eat" waiting for the shipment.  I'd be hiding on the porch ready to pounce at the poor guy like a tiger. And once a Rob tastes blood, he'll never go back...

So I figure I'll just prep things to start Tuesday.  Mr. Brown  will thank me, and I don't have to worry about how to hide the van.

I do have a question for you.  Since I've been busy babbling about this, I haven't asked you, oh dear reader, what do you think?  I'm on this plan, do you think I'll lose weight?  If so, what do you think I can expect, 5, 10, pounds, a small girl scout, sans cookies?  What are your thoughts on Rob's survival?

Hey Baal!  I've got my pom poms out!  YEAH!

Feel inspired?

Ok,  well I tried...

Here's the thing.  I think you've got enough will power to get through this if you try.  Lori says she's not hungry.  I'm a little hungry after 1 day, but I think that's phantom pains.  My last week was really bad.

And althought the food isn't bad so far...I wouldn't say it's the type of stuff you'd be in danger of eat in one week.  Although the stacks are tempting...

Good luck Robert. I'm counting on you to motivate me to try this diet too!  I can lose 5 pounds easily (flu) and then gain it right back but can't seem to sustain any kind of loss over time.  Too much 'stuffing' my feelings.  Looking forward to your reactions. I'm afraid I'll eat all of the food and then have nothing for the next 3 weeks!I've so little will power!

Rob,
Good for you!
Just remember, attitude rules!
Self denial and self control are two things that more of us need to practice.
For me, I replaced smoking (and sex, at least for now) with weight lifting. When I get the urge (for either), I get mad and hit the weights. If you start working out, start very, very slow. Sometimes just getting off the couch is a good first step for some people. Begin by concentrating on your mid-section. Tightening of the abs will make you feel full sooner when eating, similar to the belt that physicians use or stomach stapling. Practice good posture also as it aids your digestive system. And find someone to encourage you if you lack self-control at first; as you build your physique, the self control follows. When your body is functioning properly, your mind somehow does also. You won't be sorry you went for it. Good luck!!!!
