Dreams

When do the dreams of her stop?  When can I wake up not thinking of her?  It has gotten so bad that my subconscience has me picturing her asking for forgiveness, inviting me to make love, and me caressing her like I always did.  So I wake up in a hole that I have to start climbing out of before I brush my teeth.

I think that that is a very personal thing.  10 months post breakup here and I still dream about him every day.  Last night was the first time that I slept peacefully in a long time.

I can tell you that it will stop eventually.  It will happen when you least expect it.  You are in pain and once that pain subsides the dreams will become less and less.

hang in there, better dreams are ahead for you!!

boxerjo....I may not be able to help you here but I can tell you that I haven't dreamed of my stbx in several years. I have lately  dreamed of what could be my future.  To me, ours dreams are our subconscious working out our thought process. Your wanting her but, this makes you uneasy and feel that it is unreal. It is up to you to decide what to do with that thought. Make it real or put it behind you and move forward. Come to a conclusion.

Dreams can be painful but if we take the time to think them through, they can be helpful and tell us things that we need to realize.  Many sweet dreams to you.

Since I am going through the exact same thing it is hard to give a lot of advice, but I do make sure I sleep hard by taking Tylenol PM.  Hopefully, it will help you to know that you are not alone.  We are all on this site to vent, and get advice from other people that know more than anyone else what we are going through. I also keep myself busy during the day, work-out, and I plan fun things to do with the kids on the weekend.  On the night that the kids are with their Dad I make sure I have something fun to do planned ahead of time.  Take Care and hang in there!

Oh yeah, I remember those.  It took maybe 3 months before they were not EVERY night.  now occasionally I have them, but they do not bother me as much, not nearly as much.  I am 7 months post break up.  There is an end, I promise.
