My husband and I have only been married for a year... It's a long story but I have a very strong point...

And we are getting a divorce, because he cheated on me with his sons mother... I have done a lot of research on Nevada state laws but I am still a little confused. I understand that this state really could care less about adultery. He was in the military for the first half of our marriage but was discharged due to medical issues in february. While he was gone I had a different job making a few dollars more than I do now, and I was left to pay all of his bills by myself with no help. My husband has two cars One of which was co signed for and then payed off, and his name is first on that title, He let his dad drive it for a while and his dad payed a couple of payments to the co signer (approximatelty $900) who payed off the car (who is my husbands, fathers, partners mother) and then quit paying her and hasn't payed her for atleast a year. And the other Car is in just his name and he has a loan he is paying for. While he was gone I sold my own car to pay some of his bills because I was short at first, so I just started to drive his car that is payed off. His father claims that he has been paying the co signer who payed off the car, Which I know for a fact he hasn't. But his dad said that he wants us to (Previous to deciding on a divorce) sell the car so that he can pay for his own and his partners bankruptcy, and some other bills to be completely caught up and he would "maybe" be able to give me a couple hundred dollars towards a car of my own after paying everything he needs to pay. Even though the car is not in his name, never was, and he helped pay a very small portion of it back. He said that if we keep the car without paying for it that we would have to concider it our inheritance? even though it is not his choice, The mother (co signer) is 83 years old and sickly... and very easily manipulated...has not said a word about the vehicle to my husband or myself about it since she co signed for the vehicle...and we are not supposed to go to her house without My father-in-law (the manipulator) because he doesn't think it would be a good Idea. When My husband came home on his leave for christmas, he told me that he was giving me the car as a christmas present. After I had mentioned it to his dad, He quickly denied and said that he never told me that. I have built my life around my husband for the last four years, So most everything that we own isn't really mine. He feels that if he purchased it, It's his. I am living back with my mother but without him, I really dont have anything. And the car is the only thing I ask to be granted to me...even if I have to pay for it...it would take a while...but I don't care...I can't afford to buy another car... Especially without him and because of our wonderful state laws... It's very doubtful that that is possible. What do I do?

that was a lot of information just to ask if you can get the car in the divorce...the car you would have a right to is the one that is only in your husband's name - the one that is co-signed with someone else - you won't get in the divorce as the court will defer to the less complicated solution.
