Marital Infidelity and Extent of Disclosure

I am a person who had an affair during my marriage.  I'm not looking for someone to cottle me or tell me it was alright to do so...it was inappropriate and immoral and I fully accept responsibility for my actions.  I do have a question however.  In the interrogatories I received from my STBX's attorney it asked if I had ever had an extra-marital relationship of any kind and more specifically asked for name, address and phone number of the person I had the affair with.  I've been told on more than one occasion that this person has a right to privacy and I'm not legally obligated to provide that specific information, only whether or not I engaged in an extra-marital relationship.  Does anyone have experience with this or know what I'm actually legally obligated to provide.

My attorney suggested we could submit interrogatories or questions of a certain telling nature for my stbxw to answer.  We'd then schedule deposition to include stbxw and her boyfriend and compare the answers she gives to what she says under oath.  When I filed for divorce, I gave the name, address and phone number of the man I know  the stbxw was cheating on me with...it's on page 3 of the divorce suit.

I've honestly never heard of asking for an address/phone number unless you live in a state where a civil suit can be brought on against the other party for their involvement in an affair that broke apart a marriage, but I'm honestly not sure.

I hope someone else can help with this one because it is out of my league even though it seems like a little too much information being requested.

Good luck and I hope you get a more specific answer from someone that has been through this process!
