quick and dirty divorce.....

My husband has been married before, twice to the same woman.  He divorcerd her through a website offering no contest divorces for 299.00.  Their short relationship was rocky and full of drama.  There was cheating involved and other stuff.  My husband has hinted that if we were to get divorced, that we would do the same style of divorce.  My question is.... Since there's been no infidelity on my part.  I've tried to get him to go to marital counseling, and on the whole, invested time and effort into making the marraige work.  I have a 7 year old child through a previous relationship, she's in school, enrolled in extracurricular activities, and has a good routine going.  I work parttime at a preschool.  My only option if he were to divorce me would be for me to uproot my daughter from her life and move an hour away to my parents house, where I can't realistically continue my current job.  It would be a nightmare for my daughter, parents, and myself.  But he'd come out golden.  What are your thoughts on this?  We have only been married 2.5 yrs.

Get a lawyer...protect you and your child. My guess is you are right in your thinking , that he woudl get off easier. I don't think you can request child support but probably alimony but you wil have to check to see if there is a time length that you have to be married to receive it.
