Alimony & CDL, Hurrying up Divorce

I live in Alabama and my STBX is a truck driver. He is a few days late on temporary alimony payment. How long do I have to wait to bring charges against him for contempt of court for non-payment.

How can I get my attorney to put a mush mush on this divorce. It has been dormant for 21 months and I am ready to get this thing over with. The lawyers are waiting for us to talk this thing over and it is NOT going to happen. I want this thing over with. Is there any way to get the 2 attorneys moving on this stupidity?????
