Legal advise: Husband cheats in more than one way.

I am married 6 yrs but living together for 17. We have no kids together. He pays himself a salary of 180k to my 40k from my job. He is self-employed, he started this business months before we were married. We file our taxes together and have been claiming my son for what little tax help we can get. He owned a house and I owned a house before our marriage, which we still have. We currently live out of his house but for many years we lived out of mine. Since the marriage, he has purchased 2 more houses, and lots of land. I've come to learn he has bank accounts overseas as well as a house, this has all been within our married years, prior to being married neither of us had money. He seems to be the only one enjoying the change in our income now quite freely. What can I do to make sure I am not cheating when he tries to divorce me. I sure he is cheating on me but I have no proof.

Thanks ladies for your advise, by the way, I live in Maryland and it is a non-community state.  He thought he had done a really good job with hiding the papers.   I found them and made copies of everything this is how I've found out about the accounts and property.  He also have a will, he left everything to his grown kids he have with his previous wife and totally left me out.  I act as though I no nothing of course only to catch him red handed in infidelity.  My next step will be to go to a lawyer with the documents I have.  He's been bold enough to bring someone to my house.  I wish I had a recorder or a video at the time but I didn't.

What state are you in?  some states like Florida are a "no fault" state, so the affair really has no bearing on the divorce outcome.  You need to make copies of ALL financial papers.  Overseas accounts need to be brought to the attention of your attorney.  Seek legal advice asap you should be able to get part of his assets. You would have to have proof and from what I am told that is hard to do. Find a lawyer. Record your assets NOW before he has time to hide them!

I am not a lawyer but I would think you need some proof of the affair.  Any documents that you can get your hands on like the over seas accounts would help.  Proof of the affair is really important.  I would think the sooner and faster you can get a hold of these things the better.  Good luck and remember we are her for you.
