Separation

My husband and I are Separated but still living in the same house. I live in one bedroom and he lives in the other. If I want to date someone else, can I without ramification once we file divorce. I am in the State of Georgia.

I wouldn't while living in the same house. But as far as not dating, you may need the boost in your self-image, however take it slow, don't sleep around, and just sit back and have fun. Girl, live it up and realize that you are someone...

You need to find your own place. Living in the same house with your ex is a little hard to explain to a potential future mate. I know I wouldnt date someone that hasnt cut the ties completely. End this relationship first before moving on. There is way too much baggage to be unpacked and put away.

Barkley is SO right. I wouldn't consider dating until you are officially divorced. Perhaps it is early on in the process for you. But there can be a whirlwind of issues the two of you need to face in the process of divorce. You don't want to complicate things especially if you are living in the same house.

You need to seek legal advice in Georgia but in my opinion I am not sure you should be dating right now. Use this time for yourself and determine if divorce is the right answer or not. How long will you two be living in the same house? This has to be hard.
