Divorcees with little ones

Are there many women that have young ones (under 5) who are separated, divorced, without a partner? I was at the mall play-place yesterday and noticed several attractive women (30-45) who didn't weren't wearing any rings on their left hand "ring finger" and was amazed/dumb founded.

well put...although making a move sounds crass, true but crass :)  Anyhow, it sure would be very nice to just talk with someone who's going through - been through-etc.  It gets a little wierd just talking about this to my PC, ya know?  At least it can't laugh at me.  Its nice to connect with others going thru this maze.  thanks

Just be prepared for the response that you will get if you were to ask someone about their status..because i know some women are not good at being polite about it...I have been approach not long ago...and i like the way this man made his way through in finding out my status...making a nice friendly comments or just making a nice conversations about things to which i kind of knew he was in a discovery way...i'm really careful of who i talk to because i know for a fact that some "men" out there wether they are married, divorce, single...they always have to make a move on the attraction...be honest...isn't that true?  anyway...i been there like i said... and i found out from him on the conversation we had was he had been through all these situations...so it was really nice to talk to him...so i'm just saying if you decide to make your approach. If the lady is as nice as i have responded to the question...you won't desappoint yourself... really...

Guess I'll be asking next time I'm at the mall.  I like the way you put it Hopes08...most would be upfront / honest enough depending on who's asking and the right way. Its all new to me. Thanks

I never wore a wedding ring. I didn't need a ring to remind me of my comittment. It wasn't safe to wear jewelry around some of the machinery I worked with.
I had worked in family bars and restaurants and I found I wasn't hit on as much if the customers thought I was single. The women with wedding rings on were considered an easy target for the guys just passing thru. My life was less complicated with no  wedding rings.

I don't wear my rings.  I am separated pending my divorce.  My kids are 8 and 5.  But I'm upfront about my status (not that anyone has asked me with a view to asking me out, though).

I think that some of us women wear our ring for many different reasons or status. Some of us who wear them because : proud and happy of marriage, separated but still in marriage status,. And for those of us who don't wear them it could be because: separated, divorced, unhappy, lost the ring, or just don't like to wear jewels....and it depends on the person looking/noticing....most of us would be honest enough or upfront of the status if asks the right way.
