Up Crying my eyes out again

Here I am again crying my eyes out.  Not because I miss him....I think I am moving on with that.  Now I am crying because my salary is not going to cover the bills and even with child support  I am so scared.  I dont know what I am going to do.  My lawyer already told me that I will probably not get alimony because we make almost the same  amount of money.   Again I am so scared.

I know  how you feel.   Without my ex's income, my salary will barely cover mortgage, utilities, car payment and insurance.  That leaves next to nothing for food, gas and toiletries etc.  I am a single mom with a full time job as it is and the last thing I want to is get another part time job.

I like Spaznkitz idea's.  I am definetly tightening my belt.     I  took  off my salon nails the other day and that was rough!  The upside to your situation is when you get through this (and you will) you will have a better self-esteem because you were able to make it on your own.  I have only been seperated a month and I have a new sense of pride because he took care of everything which I thought I liked but it actually crippled me.  I am  in control of my life now.

start evening child care in your home, run errands for the elderly, sell items you no longer use on e-bay.

get rid of cable/statellite tv, only use your cell for emergencies, go down to the lowest plan, no fast food or to go coffee, brown bag your lunch, if you smoke, today is the day to quit. When you grocery shop, stick to the list of needs (so don't go shopping hungry) search the internet for store coupons to print, and purchase store brands over premium, consider carpooling to work, or public transportation, to save on fuel costs...

Your utility companies will work with you if you call them and let them know you will be late, or if you need to set up a payment plan - do it before the bill comes due - not after.

there are little ways to save that add up in the long run.

You must keep your faith that things WILL get better! Some how, some way, you will figure it out and  things will get better for you. Stay as positive as you possibly can.

Make sure to pay the necessities, food, shelter, transportation and utilities.  Everything else may have to wait for awhile.  I've been listening to a guy by the name of Dave Ramsey.  You may want to check out his radio show.

Good Luck

I'm in the same position, Not knowing how the bills are going to get paid for. My ex is lying about her income,Only reporting part time job, and hiding the under the table money from her parents business. I'm paying child support and alimony, My mortgage is higher then my take home pay. I've been getting some temporary help but that doesn't even help that much, and have been trying to put house on market. And I have my kids 50% of the time.

So the only thing I can say is it is going to be a long tough road ahead of you but it will get better. When you feel that nothing is going right or it feels like the world is against you. Look at a picture of your children and gather up the strength for them. Every time I get overwhelmed with my financial situation I look at my kids pictures, I keep alot of pics on my desk at work and all over my home. Trying never to lose sight of what is really important (my kids) and why I have to pull myself back together and not give up hope. One day you will be amazed at what you have overcome.

Remember your not alone , and keep telling yourself you can do this.

Best of luck
