starting a business

My soon to be X and I have filed for divorce and I want to start up a business.  The bills are piling up and I need to get moving.  Do I have to wait until the divorce if final or can I go ahead and start the business?

PS.. I'm new here and I think I may have posted this question in another area by mistake.
