Ga Divorce

filing for divorce today in Augusta. My wife a little over a year ago sat me down and said she had met Matthew Perry on Line on myspace and was leaving me to marry him. I was shocked to say the least . Well as you all have guessed it was a role player.

She then proceded to make my life a living hell. As well as my children. I had to go  out of state to go to school in September of that same year. She spent all the money with out paying bills put the 2nd car in repo ( she did the first while I was in Iraq. ) put me in thousands of dollars in debt . then in december .she took off with my children and would not tell me where they were. I finally got to see them 2 weeks ago.
.. they are saying Mommy scares them she threatens to hurt them if she does not have cigerettes . She gets very loud and angry if things dont go her way and it scares them. I have been paying 350.00 every 2 weeks(not court ordered) for my boys and now having to go thru bankruptcy the court said with a chapter 13 i cant afford to pay more than 200 every 2 weeks. She screams and says if i dont pay her she will not let me see the kids or talk to them .she has since moved to WV . I want my boys but cant afford a lawyer is there any help out there I am scared for my sons.

i am not allowed to get a credit card buy a car on credit or get a anything on credit for the next 5 years she saw to that with 2 cars repossessed and putting my name on credit cards bank accounts using a power of atty to get loans while i was in iraq then just before she left ran up a 1500 cable bill because she emptied the account and kept bouncing checks for 4 mo the bank charged me 35.00 for each the cable co same and still owed money . She takes almost half my income with the money i give her and she wont work spends the child support on new clothes for her her nails and cigs and red bull I would give anything to be able to get a card to pay a lawyer.

Hi, I'm across the river. JLK is right. Do whatever you can to get an atty. Augusta should have plenty of attys. who will give the first consultation free. Talk to several to see what your options are. Are you still military? If you are see if they have any resources to hlep you.  Legally she can't keep you from the children.
At all cost stay on friendly terms with her. You don't want her to disappear on you. She sounds a little unstable. Keep your kids in mind when you have to deal with her.
Good Luck

JLK is right - get a credit card (there are some advertising here - Starting Over? The 10 Best Credit Cards ) to pay for it or something, but it does sound like you could use the help!!!

good luck!

I know you dont have the money, but you really need to get an attorney now.  Find somehow, someone who will help you financially to ensure you children are okay.
