conflict of interest???

My husband hired a lawyer for divorce where his sister works as a secretary. is this a conflict of interest. If it is then what can I do about it. if it is his sister that works for his lawyer, she handles all the paperwork for our divorce.

My opinion is that you should have your own lawyer look over any papers you sign. I would think as a secratary you soon to be ex's sister should type up papers as designated by the lawyer. And I would also think if she altered any information in said paperwork she could be terminated from her employment and an attempt to defraud you. I am no lawyer, but I would consult a lawyer and tell him/ her the situation and what can be done about this. At the very least this should be a private matter between you, your soon to be ex and both lawyers. With family members excluded. After all your divorce details are none of their business unless you wish it to be known by others. Again this is just my opinion
