Can my ex stop paying alimony before I'm remarried?

he said he doesn't have to pay since i have a wedding date and invitations out. i can't afford to pay for a wedding and my lawyer again. what should i do?

no he cannot stop paying alimony unless he went to court and got permission to stop it.

He has to keep paying until he gets a court order allowing him to stop or until the day your are officially married.

i think he has to keep paying until you are legally married, which is usually the day of the wedding.... good luck
