I hope I would have my favorite running shoes on, to help me get out of there quick!  We have no children together, which does make it easier in many ways.  The funny thing is that I went straight from my ex-boyfriend(who I used to live with) to my current husband.  I thought the ex-boyfriend was bad...I had no idea.  The funny thing is, that I am still on friendly terms with that ex-boyfriend.  He is the one who is going to help me move my Mom into her new apartment in a few weeks.

Then again, I have learned so much in the past six years that I have to wonder what I would be like without knowing and marrying D.  Would I be a less compassionate person?  I am sorry to say that I used to be judgemental toward people who were divorced.  I would never have admitted it back then, but I was kind of smug, looking down on them as if they just did not try hard enough.  What a little jerk I was! These were hard lessons to learn, but hopefully they will be part of a better future.

I would not have married her.

I would have walked away from the relationship.

The old saying that hindsight is 20/20 is oh so true....

I would walk away, he is a good man, just has a cheating heart. Hopefully he will learn from his mistakes in this marriage and not carry it over to his next.  We had some great times together. Too bad it didnt last because he thought the grass was greener on the otherside.

Simple, I would run like hell from her while tripping other guys in my path, hoping she'll get one of them instead of me. Sorry, sounds evil, but I know my stbx and this is not even compare to her.

For me, it's not that simple, we did have good things between us, and it's my fault that I wasn't more assertive sometimes, too...I dunno, in some ways I'm glad we don't really have these choices in life, at least in my case. I don't know what I'd do.

If I knew what I know now, I would have divorced him years ago when he put the family through hell with his arrest.  Put him above myself, my family, and even my kids.  He showed his gratitude for the love, trust, and loyalty I gave him by cheating behind my back as often as he could get away with over a span of at least 10 years.  I thought it would be kicking him when he was down, but, since he has no problem with kicking anyone, whenever he can get away with it, I should have listened to my family and left him to suffer the consequences of his own actions.

For me and my situation that's a no-brainer.  Turn, walk away, and never look back.  Not even for a glimpse.
