What is YOUR New Year's resolution this year? Will you make a resolution? If not, why?

My resolutions: 1. To be the best Mom I can be to my child.
                           2. To be the best Wife I can be for my husband.
                           3. To live in the present & put my past mistakes behind me.
                           4. To be the best person I can be for myself.

My resolutions are to love fully and be loved.   To continue striving for a full and rich life and to give my daughter the best role model she can have (a happy, healthy, virbrant Mom).

Completing and putting my divorce behind me was a struggle these past 24 months but I've done it and been successful at creating a great start to a new life.......now I just have to keep living it!  I look for role models all the time that have gone where I want to go with style and grace and have found a few on this board!

Cheers to all of us here!

DJPO---I agree. I thought about having "other" for the poll but not until AFTER I had submitted it. Sorry. :)

I think that you should have had an "other" button, as mine is to finish my diviorce as soon as possible and take care of my kids as best I can.  To me, there is no higher goal.

I don't make resolutions any more.  I try and live my life in a way that I don't need them. I'm going to take each day as it comes and enjoy the hell out of it!

Happy New Year!

Mine is to be out of this relationship and on my own with my children.  Not being queasy when the garage door opens and he comes home from work...not being spied on(well that may not change)not having to hide my stuff and move it in different places..

For my kids to see me truly happy!!

My resolution: do one thing slightly better tomorrow than I did today without regressing in other areas of my life.

Great minds think alike, as my Mom likes to say!  I just posted a few of my resolutions, so I won't repeat them here.  I like yours, though.  I voted giving up a bad habit because I feel like I am slowly cleaning up my life and giving up a lot of bad habits.  I don't smoke, drink, or take drugs, but I do have a nasty habit of jumping into unhealthy relationships.  Good for you, resolving to be a better person to those around you and move forward with your life.  Food for thought...
