equal and equitable

who thinks that those are the same words?  If the law s as written wanted to use the word equal, then why did we somehow have the foresight to write down equitable?

Why is the changing mind set rammed down everyones throats?  Do you enjoy having shit rammed down your throats?

I AM NOT A LAWYER!!!!!!

I'm on your side...I think your attorney messed up by allowing the QDRO to be worded the way it was. In volatile markets, the only way that could work is to say "move nn% of the funds into stable value funds on this date and that becomes the payout whenever the QDRO is executed".

Equal and equitable are not the same thing. Equitable could mean more, or less, than half, depending on the circumstance. In your situation, I think it should have meant less than half for her. But that's just MHO.
