My "dear" stbx (ha!) took our Dell laptop from the house. so I wont be able to get online all weekend. Techniqly it's half mine! says he needed to do the check book. yeah right. Do I ask for it back or let it go?

let it go - either go buy one of your own (they have cheap ones at wal-mart or best buy) you don't need much to it if you just want to get online -

or go rent one from rent a center if you need your fix LOL
