what is she talking about?!?

here's what's happening. it's been a month or 2 while i still continue to send my future ex money for my daughter, since my ex refuses to work. out of the kindness of my heart and because i care, i've been sending what money i can possibly spare to help her get our daughter the things she needs until i am served with the child support forms. things go smooth, i send her money orders because it is the easiest and convienviant for me to send money. i've been writing it out to her name(married name) since we are still going through the seperation process in means of divorce soon after. but she somehow comes up with telling me that she can't cash the money orders due to because her name is not my last name, she's still legally under her maiden name. which she has no photo id or proof to show her married name, because she got her a new license with her maiden name on it. this confuses me because while she was serving in the air force, we were married legally by a judge and all her information showed her married name. but now she's telling me that because she never got her new social security card with her married name, she never took my last name to begin with. as to what i understand, until we go through the divorce process and she has to request to change her last name back to her maiden. i'm not too quite sure about this, but does someone have any informaition to give me about this? is she right and i should stop sending her money orders under her married name and send them with her maiden? or is anything she's saying even true at all.

Something about this seems wrong. You should ask your lawyer. How long were you married? And have you checked the court house were your marriage license is filed, and what did the previous drivers license have on it. Check the names on it. She might have just jumped the gun and had it changed because it was time for renewal. But it might not be legal. This might not have helped.   Good luck
