If this were you, what would you do???

You and your spouse have recently split up and are beginning a divorce. There are 2 teens living at home that are affected by this split. The spouse keeps material posetions, pets and belongings . Other spouse has only clothing and the teens. Spouse stays in home , other spouse moves with their family across country. Dilemma is where should kids live????

With spouse who didn't leave, has a job , but is not involved with teens.
With other spouse who moved to give the teens a better life of oportunities as a family
Where the teens feel the best about them selves as far as saftey , happiness, and goals.

I agree the kids need a stable place. With everything that is happening they realize they are the priority and should be. It is never easy dealing with all of the frustation as parents but don't have kids dealing with your issues on top of their own feelings. They need as much support right now as you can find for them.

Always the kids first...they did not ask for this or where ask about it right?

usually the kids live with the mother and stay in the house...if affordable. it's best not to move the kids around if at all possible.
