spent all our retirement money while I was sick

I have cirrohsis and my husband had chosen to take a check instead of life long payments this was from working for hsbc after 20 yrs. we had just bought a home and had plans for the money. I got really sick and was literally bedridden for 2 months. He opened up 5 credit cards in my name and was using them instead of his retiremennt money. once I caught on and paid all the cards off we had nothing he told me we had 11,000 left. we ended up having to use my credit which was  bad because he had burned me before I had just got it back on track anyhow now im 10,000 in debt and he is making mee pay it off with my disablity chck I get a big 550.00 and put nothing towards nothing he makes sure I have no money and being sick I feel helpless he finally is back to work at ford making 2500.00 a month and we hardley can make it let alone afford to go to the dr and get meds I need I need help out of this abusive marriage if I voice my concern he just yells at me thats all he does is yell and bully me to get his way if I dont then Im get punished with him making a mess and slamming this

I trying understand the bullying and yelling, I have the same thing too.  Talk with your Dr. (if you can go alone, I can't half the time), talk with people in your church (if you have one).  If you can go on-line Google your issue with your city, they may give you some directions.  I don't know how close of tabs he keeps on you, mine wants to know my every move.  I fortunately have early mornings to get on-line, I have kept some extra money hid that I use for things I want and need, my stuff.  I have been reading some books on emotional/mental abuse, divorce, and abusive relationships.  If you can get to a bookstore you may want to check them out and read some of them. Both Borders and Barnes & Noble have websites that you can see at least covers and sometimes a small peek at what's inside.  Both stores you can order on-line, they will pull them and hold them at the front desk.  You don't have to buy them, you can brouse through them and then decide if you want to purchase them.  If money is way too tight to buy new books, they both offer used, but they are delivered to the home and have to be paid with credit cards.  You can also look into used book stores as well.  Hope it is a help.
