Rights to a Parents in a divorce process?????

My husband and I have been separated for almost 2 yrs. He left when I asked for the divorce and moved in with his girlfriend. We have 2 children that have been with me and still are. We are in the divorce process now and it is getting ugly because all he cares about is money. My main question is " Do I have to tell him every move the children make or ask him permission for the children to do certain things...ex: trim my daughter's hair,go to birthday parties, etc.." He states I am obligated to ...is that true???? Please help me in this case... I have looked everywhere online for answers and can't find one.

Why do you maintain contact with him? Didn't you want the divorce? I doubt that he is telling you every detail. Plus, it slows things down and creates confusion.
