Change Of Income

I recently lost my job and was re-hired with another company at half my previous salary. My ex still thinks she is entitled to the same child support, money for private school, money for daughters sports teams etc......

you need to do a salary/support modifcation form with the court. don't wait. it goes into effect when you fill out the paperwork/and or see the judge...so you'll still owe your old amount until that happens. i can understand why you need to do this, but i can also understand your exs viewpoint...she set things up (private school/sports) for your children based on your income...now that it has changed, this means everyhthing has to change in your kids lives. that's a tough thing to deal with for kids. any chance you will take this job for a short time whil you look for another at your old salary?

You need to resubmit financial records to show your salary has changed. Believe me if your salary had increased I am sure she would have taken you back to court for more child support. Have your attorney file an amended child support payment document. Not sure what it is legally called but your attorney will know.
