Is it a man's world?

I was just thinking about this in reading so many postings on infidelity.

It seems that when a husband is cheated on by his wife he'll call her a cheating whore, a slut, etc.   He may write "my whore of a wife and the o/m....".

"

When a wife is cheated on by her husband, I see "my stbx/ex and his whore.."or "him and his slut....".

We may say he's an a**hole or cheater but what hurtfule words can be used for the man cheaters?  Man-whore and man-slut only means that those words are naturally mean't for a woman.

I dunno...just random thoughts.   I'm not defending the whores that sleep around with married men, now.  I'm just wondering why it seems like theres no words for men...    I guess it goes back to where in society if a man screws 10 women in a week, he gets high-fived.  If a woman screws 10 men in a week, she's a whore.  hmmmm...

Okay, I know I'm late getting in on this one, but I just have to add my two cents.

I asked myself these same questions when I found out my husband was cheating on me.  Seriously.  In the middle of an argument with my husband I actually asked, "Why the hell isn't there anything good to call you?"

The best I could come up with was lech.  Sigh.

Of course I call her a whore.  He doesn't like it and tells me not to.  But I say if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

I cannot think of a word to use for a man and I feel the words that go along with women aren't strong enough because it doesn't seem to slow them down either. I call all the folks associated with my stbx as dumbass. And we all know who we are talking about. :D

Yeah, I should have put part II (sister/brotherhood) on the original blog, which was, knowing this (it's a man's world), why woman will still back stab another woman, ya know.  Knowing this and still be true to the word "whore" and sleep w/another woman's husband.

Same with men, why there's no 'brotherhood' (all though there seems to be more "brotherhood" than "sisterhood" out there) and keep your hands off another man's wife.

You're right, LIP. This blog has been going on for a week. Not one of us has come up with a derogatory word for men specific to men that is the equivalent of the many derogatory terms specific to women. There aren't any. It is a man's world.

I don't want to hurt men. I like men. I do wish there were more equality.

No worries. It isn't a level playing field so we should use the advantages we have.

You crazy lady. I love your blogs!!!!

My friends have used some creative words to describe my ex but my favorite is IDIOT because here is how it's defined:

.a person of subnormal intelligence
.very foolish,  nonsensical
  • A foolish or stupid person.
  • A person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard against common dangers.

which also has deritives such as:

    idiotic:crackbrained: insanely irresponsible
  • Sounds pretty like a pretty accurate description what they all become the minute the decide to stop being adults.

Oh, I just remembered this one. I think I will actually start using it, cuz it's not too mean to say in front of the kids. My good friend calls hers "the was-band."

Ok, all the names are great, how about this idea?
Castriat them all.  Whoes with me?

Conscious to betrayed "Your are a man dumb ass"

Betrayed to conscious "Oh shit, but it's already public record" I know what to do, dress in drag.

Are you being deliberately obtuse or did it escape your notice that I said "totally tongue in cheek"?

We don't think of a man's ejaculate as messy, dirty or disgusting.  Are there ever any references to it in a derogatory sense?

So why do we refer to a woman's cycle in a derogatory way? It's pretty much the same as far as messiness.

The second place of women is so pervasive and insidious that we don't even question it.

That's an awful lot of HUGELY misinterpreted inferring there, lady, for a completely tongue in cheek phrase.

Delia, there is nothing wrong with menstral blood. It's a celebration of the fact that we can give life.

I know it's uncomfortable sometimes, but it is not a bad or dirty or disgusting thing. It is a good thing, the cushion for a child.

It's amazing how much our society's dengration of women has so seeped into our minds that anything associated with women's parts or normal functions is somehow considered dirty or disgusting. It isn't. It is good and nice and clean.

I vote for manwhore.  In my family he's called"hef-inwrecker".  He's living with 2 women -mistress and her mom. Hef as in Hugh Hefner.  At his age 62   -Quite the love nest!  Wrecker because he left/abandoned a family.  For my own amusement any mailings I send to stbx - I use address labels I make myself - right now I have the choice of the snake or the Shrek donkey/ass.  My stbx does not like his gf called mistress - too bad that's what she is.  I guess he is a "manstress"  as he is a "kept man"  supported by 2 women.   What about "Deuce Bigalow"

"lying, cheating, bastard piece-of-shit" works great for me. It's all true and he's never argued against it.

Bastard is a person born of two people not married to each other. It does not reflect more on the mother than the father. They are equal in the production of the child.

As for the mistress. She's proud to be a whore or slut. What she HATES is being called fat. So that's what I call her. :) The really funny part is that she's not...she's just scared to be perceived that way. She's skinnier than me, but I don't have body image issues like she has.

Tool and  Fucktard is a great one. One term I thought about was Dickwad, but I found one I prefer to call the ex.............Asshat. The other name I heard from a comedy movie.....it's  Numbnutz.

I like Spaz's term...lol....I use the term "Hero" too...except my tone of voice when I use it, makes it sound anything but....I find the sarcasm on a nicer word, can make it carry quite a punch as well...

Believe it or not GreenEyedCat, that's what my 20 year old has started calling him.  I made sure he was aware of that.  My youngest said he died so she refers to him as the man wo want's to be their dad.  Sad commentary, don't you think?
