A major news source is looking to talk to laid-off dads.
Dads, if you've been laid off and are now unemployed, which best describes your situation/outlook: "Yay for fun employment!" or "It's hard work, but I'm really digging this stay-at-home dad thing" or "Not only am I on the financial precipice, but without a job, I'm not even sure who I am anymore"or... you tell me.
I'm interested in hearing what involuntarily unemployed dads (and expecting dads) think about taking a break from work vs. finding a new job, as well as your take on the old-school role of men as providers and male identity as it relates to employment today.
It is absolutely fine if you'd like to be anonymous. I'd just like some details about your age, your kids' age range, whether you're married, what you did for a living, and where you live. Please send a little info on where you stand on the topic and let me know how I can reach you to follow up. Thanks so much!
