Me-Time Before the Storm

So Spring Break has come and gone here in Calgary and I am so very happy to report that instead of being stressed out, wondering how I'd deal with the "I'm bored" calls from my kids, the break was reallu fun AND...get this...RELAXING! lol

What the heck?  How can that be Delaine when you have three kids under the age of eight?

Because my ex took my kids for FIVE DAYS!  He's never had them for that long before - and he's never been home during a March Break EVER.  And I gotta tell you, my time off was amazing.  Even though I ended up working for most it,  being able to do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted was absolutely intoxicating.  Oh, you know I love my kids...but as any full-time working AND SAHM will say, 'me-time' is always overdue and at the end of the to-do List.  I feel recharged, uplifted and...

...ready for round two of mediation war.  It starts tomorrow.  The light and the dark; there's no escaping either one.  Please send me your good thoughts...

having had 5 kids, all grown now except for one teen at home, I fully understand the meaning of "me" time. That is something that I have not had much of and now I am able to get more of it when my daughter is at school and I am off for the day...oh, it's very nice to be able to relax, at least for a little while, but life does go on.

Good for you that you had some time to do what you wanted.  I wish I knew what a mini -vacation was, as lenn mentioned.

Bitch up sister.  How tomorrow goes your way.

Good for you Delaine!     Its one of the little known perks of Divorce........I savor the weekends when my daughter is with her Dad.   I know he takes really good care of her so I am not stressed at all.

It frees me up for dates with my new bf and breakfast with my gfs and shopping time and nail and massage time.   All the things I don't have time for normally during the week suddenly become luxuries I look forward to when my ex has my daughter.

Now that you have your "game face on" good luck tomorrow!
