Affairs in the work place

Has your spouse or partner ever cheated on you with someone they work with? Its happened to me but I didn't find out until a year after the divorce. Its true, you spend more time with the people you work with than you do your loved ones, but is sleeping with one of them practical? First of all, what happens if it doesn't work? Not only could you lose your job, but imagine having to face that person on a regular basis. An affair is an affair, whether it be work related or not. And is it worth it? There are a million fish in the sea, would you really be willing to risk it all to get your rocks off? Is that person even someone you want a relationship with or are they just a piece of ass? Life is filled with choices. Its up to you to decide your fate. If you have a good thing now, why would you risk it? That's what I don't understand about affairs. You know what curiosity did to the cat, right?

When my marriage first started to show signs of distress, I had a feeling in my gut I couldnt shake. Its called women's intuition. Men can sense things too but its usually the women that figure it out first. Why? because we know how men think. And the funny thing is, women are just as deceptive as men. Sometimes better. I had an affair too with a coworker but it wasn't until there were problems at home. I wanted to see if I still had it. I did. Nothing became of it except it got really awkward to work with him. The thrill of getting away with something wasnt what it was cracked up to be. I ended up changing jobs. There is always going to be temptation but where is your heart? That's what really matters. If you're thinking about having an affair you need to think long and hard because if you are going to jeopardize what you have, maybe you shoulnt be there in the first place. If thats where your head is then get out before you do it. Show some respect for the person you once loved. Karma is a bitch.

I think its stupid and way to risky to get your pecker and your paycheck in the same place. Work is stressful enough as it is, and crazy coworker to the mix and thats a bit too much for me.

Bottom line, if you want to travel outside the box.....do the box a favor and get out first. Thats the only decent thing to do.

Lori, good post. That is whathappened with my stbx, she became involved with a married coworker which destroyed our marrage. If you read my blogs you will see that this is what he does ... becopmes friends with married women, works on their emotional needs then turns the women against their husbands so he can get into their panties. He actually took a year to get my stbx to turn.
Like with Striker, their workplace (Air force)  frowns on this behaviour and will fire people for having affairs. Unfortunately for me my lawyer has kept me from reporting them as I would end up paying the alimony when she lost her job.
What is really terrible about this man is that he breaks off the affair once the divorce is finalised and moves on to his next victim. I did show my stbx the proof of this but she believes she is different. Strangely enough he has not started any divorce proceedings ... you would think she could figure out what is going to happen top ehr perfect relationship but alas no.

I've never had an affair on my wife but I did have two relationships with a co-workers before I got married. The first one was great. We had a great time together but we had an understanding that we were just having fun and it wasn't serious. Just two lonely friends enjoying each other.

The second went bad. Really bad. When she broke up with me she went a little crazy. Seriously, she pulled the flowers out of my gardens at my house. That was a bad one. Luckilly we didn;t see each other to much at work. She eventually got over it but that was the time I swore off work relationships.

He blew mediation off twice and even wanted our Son to mediate! ya the judge was real happy about that one! 2 days before our D date he called and wanted to mediate over the phone. What a j/k that was. I told him if he got out of paying for my insurance I wouldnt be able to afford to live. I told him I had 2 of his techs from work that were willing to write letters about the affair and have them notorized.

Did I gamble, hell yes I did!.I told him I knew he had 1 boss who covered his ass but the Big Boss in Rhode Island wouldn't! And I wrote a 6 page letter to him, all I had to do was get these 2 letters and lick the envelope and it would be bye bye precious job! He reminded me of the RO and I said after everything I went thru do you think for a second being in jail for 2 days would bother me! If I sank then he and his c**t would sink too!

Did I want revenge? Hell yes I did!  Now I don't recommend this to others, but this IS MY story and I don't regret what I did...

So the other nite my Son comes over and tells me his dad got moved to a different job within the company.... Hmmmmm sounds like he got the drift or his boss that covered his ass did. In this Co. it is immediatye termation for affairs!

The best revenge I got so far is taking that precious job he had, where he rubbed shoulders with Generals and Col.s IS OVER for him!!! I not only have his job but I have his precious dog too!

Its been a month since our D. but the judge has yet to come back with a settelment. I think and my Attorney thinks he is considering my disability and my insurance benifets....Plus the alimony too.

I will except what ever the judge decides, I have lived so far. If I have to I will declare Bankruptsey, get on medicade or what ever it takes......

I just hope that strange piece of ass was worth it to him
HA!

Lori~
This is something I can relate to. My X had an affair at work with his boss. The LOGO for his company is  "Family First " ha(just not yours).

I kenw in mygut something was up the first time I met her. She tried to even befriend me. I could tell by the way they connected when they evn talked. His answer to me was "Its in your head"...It was always In MY head....After he confessed to me, after denying for months. My kids knew, they tried to sutley tell me. He even had me convinced they were trying to cause trouble. I filed for divorce, and then found out (by my daughter in law) just how long this affair had been going on....For a year longer than I knew about.

This company has a "no tolerance policy for inner office relationships"...I am disabled because I had diabetes for three years and went un-dx. And I have severe neuropothy as a complication from being mis-dx. I literally laid on my couch for three years and under a Dr.s care.

He went from a perfect husband to not giving a shit in a matter of 3 mos. He takes alot of Call on his job....But it wasent all call...He started staying out till 3 4 am...I was having a low blood sugar one night, he left at 6 pm to go get me a candy bar, and I didnt see him till 4 am...Thats when the shit hit the fan...He started turning off his cell...Bastard

After getting out of what I call "lock up" because I freaked out and flushed all my meds. I layed in bed for 4 months crying..After 30 years of marriage I was a broken shell of a person... I developed diabetic retionapthy from crying and my Dr. told me I was going to go blind if I continued. With the help of my boys and my family members literally laying in bed with me for hours on end, I finally decided I wasen't going to let the bastard take my sight. I got up and got my shit together.

I had got a garnishment the day I filed..That pissed him off..He knows me, and he wanted to play this game of Divorce so we are playing it..And I DID...

I will now post #2
