I just saw a “bit” of Dr. Phil’s show about “fire proofing
your marriage.” The good doctor had several guests who
were in problematic marriages due to the actions and
reactions of husbands who are policemen and firefighters.
One of his other guests was…the young star of “Growing
Pains.” He is now the star of the debuting film,
“Fireproof.”
Bottom line is that, in addition to a potentially great and
riveting movie, the divorce statistics say it all. Policemen
and Firefightersare experiencing a 75% to 90% divorce rate
as compared to
the divorce rate of people who have “normal”
jobs. What a scary thought, a divorce rate that is more than
the usual 50%. Do any
of you have any stories? I'd sure love
to hear them.
