Thunderstorms and longing

It has been raining and overcast here for about 3 days. Some thunderstorms have been mixed in and I LOVE thunderstorms. I've always had a fantasy about being with a very special woman during a rainy day. Just her and me, under the covers with the sound of rain and thunder outside. The window is open and every once in awhile we can smell the rain freshened air. The room is cold but we aren't! Loving passion followed by tender caresses. Maybe dozing off for awhile or not. Looking into each other's eyes and appreciating the moment and each other. We would laugh at ourselves and then start all over. More passion, Love, and caresses. Oh and I'd go make our favorite dinner to eat in bed later. Good food, wine, and passion. What more could a loving couple want on a rainy day? Maybe a nice hot shower together where I'd wash her back and give her goose bumps with my loving soft touch. Kissing and more slippery passion in the shower and then back to bed!

I long for a day like that. I hope I can experience it at least once in my lifetime.

I think those days can be found again.  I feel that you have to make that a priority.  Life tends to get in the way and we forget that.  I realize now that that was the one thing we never had.  I have never had a day like that.  It sounds good to me.

waking up slowly at least once in a while on an overcast day, sounds inviting and romantic. I had a husband who was up at the crack of dawn out for a run both days on the weekend. I'd wake up to an empty bed... :( lonely empty bed. Our goals were never the same. I guess I'm a day dreamer and he's a day 'runner'. He's very active. It seems he can't sit still and when he does, he collapses and doesn't want to be touched. rrrgh... why marry?? Some people are brought up in non-demonstrative families while other's crave the touch. I don't think of food, I think of the smell of the rain and imagine the sheers blowing through the screens over looking the mountains as the sun rises and we chat about the plans for the day. Companionship is special when you have someone who sees life the way you do. Good thoughts. Thanks for sharing.

Thats exactly what the STBX and I use to do. And then we lost it.  Now, down the road, but not soon, I hope to find someone else to do that with!

Well, I have to be the black sheep and say that on a rainy day I just want a good book and to be left ALONE!!!  No one needing me, wanting to touch me or having to make decisions for anyone else but me.

AAHHHH....A morning work out..ALONE.  A big healthy breakfast..ALONE.  A clean room with fresh cut flowers and a book that I can't wait to get back to..ALONE.. Perhaps a catnap in between chapters..ALONE..Then something very yummy for dinner and a "bad" dessert ALONE.  Then, to end the day get ready for bed..ALONE and crawl into my nice cozy bed with crisp clean sheets.......................Alone..

The sound of a steady rain on a tin roof and no responsibilities for the day.

Wow!  It's a nice thought.  Whenever it rains here I think about how great it would be to huddle in bed with someone special, eating hot soup and watching bad TV.  The sex would almost be an afterthought - just the idea of spending such a lazy day would be a rare indulgence!
