Where does the time go?

So my birthday is coming up... it's a milestone one and causes me to stop and reflect on where the past XX years went. Just as I'm about to do that I get a phone call from one of my best friends... It's been a while since we have spoken and we have about a million topics to cover. After we do it comes down to planning time to get together. We break out or calandars... how about X date?... no, I've got ABC... How about.. you know how this goes. So, we do get it together and when all is said and done I realize I have a VERY busy next 2-3 months! No wonder I can't figure out where the hell XX years just went. I can't figure out where this year alone either went or is going.... it's a whirlwind. I'm booked clear through October already! I will admit that Labor Day weekend is one I put aside just for me to go off and have some R&R since the kids will be with their Dad. I'm really looking forward to it and although I'd love to say I'll take that time to reflect chances are I'll be too busy having fun to do any of that. I'll have to reflect when the next milestone birthday arrives.... I'm far to busy right now LOL!

I had a scene in my agent-poo-pooed manuscript involving a Smurfette costume.  Not that that has anything to do with anything, I just like mentioning I have a manuscript in my closet that I can't sell.  It's sort of a bitter release valve.  I'm done attaching my divorce to everything, so I think I'll do it with my manuscript.

I've cut and pasted the Myspace pic, given it a blue paint workup...yeah, I could see Smurfette.  I'm surprised you didn't pick that up as a nickname.  In college I was both Scruffy Smurf and Fraggle Rob.  Very topical.  Sort of like a rash.

I seem to be a free associating mad man in your blog space.  I'm sorry I don't mean to tie EVERYTHING together.  Ok, that's an OCD lie if I ever heard one.   Oh, and as far as the proximity thing, I can see that.  Try a hazmat suit and an purification chamber. That ought to creep him out...

I think I need more coffee. Maybe less?

LMAO.. Dry ice it is... although the "I'm not touching you" attack is classic it does require being within a certain proximity of your opponent that I'd prefer to avoid.

Smurfette... hmm... now there's a Halloween costume! I would make an awesome Smurfette :)

Tear gas is out IMBM, but forboding dry ice fog is ok.  Also the "I'm not touching you!! I'm not touching you!"  attack is good too since technically, you are not touching him...

Whew!  I thought the blue was Smurfitis.  I just didn't want to say anything cuz I thought you'd be self consious, and besides, you'd probably  make an excellent Smurfette.  ;)

LOL Cag! I inch into pools too.. can't understand how anyone can just jump right in. I'm honestly not busy for the sake of staying busy. I have some work obligations coming up that are outside of the norm and some family get togethers and such... just stuff. The Labor Day thing is me claiming some time. It will be good for me. I'm not trying to get over this... I was over it quite a little while ago.

my divorce support group says not to stay too busy b/c it doesn't give you time to properly "grieve" but i think staying super busy gives my poor brain time to properly sort out the emotional from the rational and gives me time to grieve slowly.  don't you think divorce should be less like ripping off a bandaid and more like just putting on the clear liquid bandaid that slowly wears off on it's own? that could just be my personality though- i have always entered pools one micro-inch at a time.  well, unless there were a lot of people around then i just jump in really fast so that people won't see me in my bathing suit.  but i still have to scream with shock and horror under the water! :-)

I thought I read something about that being frowned upon in the handbook but it was brief and so I thought it unimportant... I suppose I will have to change that plan now... what do they say about tear gas? I can't remember....

As for Labor Day I'll be invading the home of a long time friend who lives just far enough that no one will know how to find me LOL! Thanks for the breathing reminder... I was starting to turn blue and just couldn't figure out why....  ;)

Wow with all the XX and the ABC this reads like a government document.  So who are you bombing on Labor Day?   You know that a missile attack  on the STBX is not in the Friendly Divorce Handbook, right? ;)

Well don't forget to take the time to breath IMBM
