Should Richardson's Divorce case be opened? 

Today Superior court Judge Walter Matthews ordered Georgia House Speaker's divorce records opened.

The records were originally sealed by a Paulding County Judge who was previously Richardson's law partner.  When ethics Watchdog, George Anderson sued to have the records opened, all of Paulding's judges recused themselves, and the job fell to State Superior Judge Matthews.

Matthews ordered the records opened because of an ethics issue raised by local Democrats.  They have accused Richardson of having an affair with a utility lobbyist at the same time Richardson was co-sponsoring a pipeline bill.  The ethics committee has since dismissed the complaint.
