Man Tries to Divorce Wife Because of Drug Addiction.

A New Delhi man filed to divorce his wife due to her narcotic addiction and for disrespecting his parents.  The woman denies the charges and wishes to remain married.

The Jude who heard the case noted that the pills weren't a narcotic, but pain relievers for abdominal pains.  The man also said that his wife had entered a state run rehabilitation clinic, but failed to stay the full duration of the program. He failed to provide the judge with supporting evidence of the rehabilitation though, so the judge refused to consider it.

The man also claimed that his wife refused to perform household duties during his parents visits, and thus humiliated his family.  The judge could see no evidence for this either, so the whole case was dismissed.  The couple will remain married.
