Computer Scientist Recommends Cleaning Temp Files.

Computer Scientist Gary Kessler recommends people getting a divorce remember to clear out their temporary internet files.  Kessler is an expert; He's spent his spare time working as a contract computer-forensics consultant for the past five years.  He's see the inside of more than one court because of what he's found.

Kessler primarily works hacking and embezzlement, but he has seen divorce cases where things turn ugly. "It turns out," he says, "that when you use a computer almost everything you do leaves trances, and it's next to impossible to delete information from a computer."

Although you can't get rid of everything, temporary files are a good start.  This should be something people are already doing to protect themselves from hacking and identity theft.  Temporary files contain where you've been and what you did while you were there. Even if there's noting bad in there, it's a good idea to keep your temp files clean.  Divorce is a volatile time. Why make it worse with questionable computer files?

That's just a good tip anyway.  temp files can contain personal stuff that could lead to identity theft.
