Revenge is a dish best served. . . . . . . .

I have been on the 360 site for probably about a month now and I have noticed a lot of posts that talk about how they want their exs to feel as bad as they have made them feel.  I wanted to post this blog to share my story because my ex left me for another woman while I was pregnant with our 2nd child.  I let my thirst for revenge consume me until I made myself very sick and turned into a different person.  I was very bitter and wanted him to feel as miserable as I felt after what he had done to me.  After I had the baby, which he did not show up for, and my life settled down I stopped planning my revenge and started moving on with my life.  Funny enough, I ended up getting my revenge without having to do the 1st solitary thing to him.
First thing, I signed over our home to him.  I did have to take care of some issues recently but did figure it out and the 500,000 home he is now losing to foreclosure because he and his new wife (a Registered nurse) cannot afford the payments.
Second, because at first he was being difficult about child support and maintenance payments, the judge made him turn over a vehicle (his prized H2) to me that he had just put a lot of money into because of the money he owed me.  I took the vehicle and sold it and took a copy of the receipt to the courts so it could be knocked off the money owed.  They are also garnishing his check.
Third, he was forced to sell his SLK Mercedes and now drives a Honda Civic.  (There is nothing wrong with a Honda Civic but he technically downgraded from the vehicle he had, so it was funny. They are actually very nice cars.)
Fourth, the new wife packed on several pounds after they married, so why I lost weight after the baby and am at a healthy 150 lbs standing 5'4" she is standing at 5'3" and is around 215 lbs.  Now I am guessing her weight but I know she is much heavier than me and it shows.
So why I did not necessarily cause any of this, the courts suggested the vehicle trade and we both agreed, he asked me to sign the house over because after the first and second mortgages we would take a loss on the property if we tried to sell it and I agreed, I did not force a weight gain and I did not make him sell his car; I can look back in retrospective and know that I did get revenge and him knowing that I came out a better person and a much happier one was the best revenge of all.

Congratulations for controlling your anger.  It isn't an easy thing to do when one finds that your spouse and life partner is cheating on you.  You are a very strong person.  Take pride in that.  I very much enjoyed your story.

May all that have been wronged in such a horrible way be avenged as you have.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much for posting this story...it just goes to show that remaining true to yourself has its own rewards someday, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time.  Finding happiness in oneself and not the misery of the person who did you wrong is definately more important.  I'm soo glad you were able to let go of your bitterness and hate...you saw what those did to you and you didn't like the person you became because of it.  I've seen so many people destroy their own lives because they were so consumed by hatred and bitterness...it's very sad to see it when it happens.

Thanks again for posting this...hopefully, those who are locked in their own cell of bitterness, anger, and despair will read this and take hope...and realize that they have the key to get out of their cell and have had it all along.

Thanks for everyone's posts.  I hope it helped some of you and I hope some of you got a good laugh out of it.  Ultimately I want everyone to remember that this just did not happen to you, focus all your energy towards your kids and your spouse will get what they deserve sooner or later.

I believe that is how Karma works.  I think it is important not to live on hate and revenge.  You handled it well!  Take Care!  Janine :)

Yep, I totally agree.  I actually did do some crazy things 1) somehow the backseat of his brand new car started smelling of rotten milk....and apparently alot of milk by the smell :) This was the car he insisted he had to buy since he had totalled the other one out, and had me pick him up from jail. I was okay w/ the car until I found out the reason he had to buy it so fast was because he had to pick up his g/f from the airport.  I also changed all his passwords to his credit cards to "i cheat on my wife" and he couldn't reset them w/out talking w/ a cust. serv. rep :) There's a few more, but looking back, it was childish and done out of despair, pain, and anger beyond what I could type here.  In the end your right tho, he lost over $10,000 of OUR savings which he was supposed to use to finish our basement, he's run his credit cards up to over $8000, and because of the whole totalling out the car incident, he now has car payments. He was also  in line for a management promotion, and since his affair was w/ an intern, they have told him that will never happen now.  Oh yeah...and the "super sweet, innocent...only has been with 3 other men in her life" girl....contracted herpes.  He claims not to have it...hhhmmmm...wonder what that means!!??  So, yes, let karma do it's own job...what goes around comes around eventually :) Take care!!

"..." - And, all a this time I thought you were still scheming at something... Life does have a twist here and there that leaves one wondering how it all gets put back together into some kind of logical "karma" thing... ;-)
