Grandparents and the Single Parent

I want to talk about our parents, who are the grandparents of our children. I want to know your own experience on how your parents helped you get through your "transition" of Single Parenting. Did they help? Do you have a story to share? Tell me what made the difference in their support, advice, and resources that they offered you.

My experience was life changing. I believe now that I am closer to my parents going through my divorce than I ever was as a young adult. I saw my parents differently after they helped me transition into a my single parent household. They were there to help me with my three children  in every way. From getting my daily schedule organized ( pre-packing the lunches the night before) to keeping my emotional balance,( long, intimate talks re-assuring me and staying positive).

Please share your experience on how your parents helped you and your family during your transition.
