10/22/08 

Last night had dinner with a buddy at my place.  It was his turn to cook.  He made beer can chicken.  First time I have had that and it was delicious!

 

My daughter joined us for dinner.  She had me cut her chicken off the bone because she feels like she's killing something.  She and her friends did some more decorating.  We will have a discussion tonight about the party and the goings on of the last week.

 

Pretty casual night all in all.  Talked to my son for a bit.  He's doing well, liking his job.  He went out last night and bought some tools.  Seems like he's starting to get it together.

"...get it together..." - Sounds like a good day... Hmmm: the "...beer can chicken..." sounds very good...! Now, I just need to find myself a "...chick..." (...yes, I know this is not how to reference someone significant in my life... Maybe I'll be "...rump roast..." for the off-the-cuff comment... ;-p ) so that I can help with what can heat up the oven...!

Good for you. Sounds like you are enjoying life again. I will be glad when I get there. I also like that you put this kind of positive stuff on here. Gives some of us hope.
