The Things We Give Up…….

Without really realizing it at the time. My biggest regret in life isn’t my choice in husbands, but that I didn’t finish college before getting married, or at least finish at all.

I went the quick way and got an associate degree. It’s been weighing a lot on my mind lately. So much so that I’ve contacted my old university and got the papers to re-enroll. I’ll have to do most of it online, distance education, and at night when I’m far enough along to require that.

But the good news is two-fold. I will keep all my old credits and transfer some from my Associate Degree. I will also qualify for financial aid. That’s one benefit of being a poor single mother. I’ll keep you updated on how it all goes. College, full-time plus job, and raising two kids. I’m scared, but the time will pass whether I do this or not, so why not take care of something on my “list”?

What’s on your list?

I went back to online college it is great. I have trouble getting the kids to stay in bed while I do my school work. But for the most part I really like it. I am studying information technology.

I started dating my ex when I was still in high school and we married when I was 19, and we were married for 17 yrs.  I gave up alot of my friends from school just so I could spend more time with him and I really regret that decision now, because my friends have moved on and gone in different directions and I'm trying to reconnect with them again.  I hope to reconnect with my friends again and stay connected with them to.
