Profile
I am an associate with The Wright Firm, LLP. I received a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree from Midwestern State University, where I majored in Political Science and Criminal Justice. I received my Master of Business Administration degree from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. Finally, I also received my law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. While at Texas Tech's School of Law, I was active in the Student Bar Association, serving as the Senior ABA Representative all three years. I was also the Vice President of the newly formed Tech Law Military Association for two years, and was the Attorney General for the National Latina/o Law Student Association. I have had the privilege of serving on two National Moot Court teams and one National Mock Trial team. In one of the moot court competitions, my partner and I placed third in the regional competition and ended as one of the top eight teams on the national level. Prior to joining the firm, I was an associate attorney with Miller, Johnston, Blakley & Associates, LLC, in Amarillo, Texas, where I focused on family, immigration and juvenile law. In addition to practicing law in Amarillo, I was a part-time instructor at West Texas A&M University, where I taught Introduction to Business Law. I have also worked for Boatwright & Hamilton, LLP in Lubbock, Texas, where I specialized in DWI defense and appeals. Prior to becoming an attorney, I was a police officer for the City of Fort Worth
