Dr. Tom Rogat has worked in a variety of clinical settings, ranging from residential treatment programs to private group practices. He has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and groups and provides short and long-term psychotherapy. Tom practices an accepting form of therapy called object relations, which emphasizes the role that close relationships play in one’s emotional well-being throughout life. In addition to working with divorce issues, he specializes in the fields of adoption, childhood abuse and neglect, and chronic relationship problems. Tom completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Michigan and his master’s degree in business administration at Vanderbilt University. He earned his master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco. He is currently in private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area and provides psychotherapy to adults, children and groups.
