Contributor Bio: Michael Myers
Michael J. Myers is an associate professor of law at the University of South Dakota and teaches elder law. He manages the nation's only law school-based senior legal helpline through which he provides pro bono information, advice and limited representation to persons 55 and older.
Myers also broadcasts a weekly radio program and writes a weekly column, both entitled "The Elderlaw Forum." He has also written a book entitled "The Mayo Clinic and Blue Eyes," a compilation of his writing. Professor Myers gives talks about elder law around the country.
He holds a joint appointment with the USD School of Business where he teaches health economics, healthcare finance and health law and bio-ethics. He has plans to introduce an online graduate course entitled "Financial Management of Long-Term Care" as part of a long-term care certificate program at the Business School.
